Why Cloud Nine

Last weekend, I had the (fantastic) opportunity to share my work with three other painters in my home-based studio and as a part of the Forest Park Art Walk. Both days were sunny and mild; a perfect setting to stroll along the tree-lined sidewalks of our neighborhood and look at original art.

In a word, we had a blast! So many people came by to see our paintings. Some were visitors from out of town. Others had just recently moved to Raleigh. Many were neighbors and friends from Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill and beyond.

We all had paintings that were acquired and are now in their new “forever homes.” Yay! That is the bonus to this experience. And, I am so grateful for seeing people in person and offering the chance for people to see original art in person. Why? Looking at original art is good for you. That’s why!

Here’s On Cloud Nine

This light and airy painting is 5×5 inches and painted in oils. It’s a visual representation of my delight at last weekend’s adventure. If you think this or any of the other variations of clouds or seascapes (matted on archival 11×14 mats and protected in a Krystal Seal archival envelope) delights you, reach out to me. Each of these wonderful paintings is available for $50. I can send it to you (or deliver it if you live near downtown Raleigh) or someone you care for before Christmas, if you notify me by November 26.
